The products of esterification of wood which readily soluble in organic solvents were obtained in our previ-ous work. These products can be apply for preparation of composites.

Lignin is more reactive than polyoses. Present work is devoted to the study of kinetics of lignin esterification.

New data on reactivity of hydroxyl groups of lignin in reaction of O-acetylation were obtained.

It was shown that aliphatic hydroxyl groups of lignin are more reactivity than phenolic groups.

The set of reactivity of hydroxyl groups of lignin was stated: primary hydroxyl groups > secondary hydroxyl groups > phenolic groups.
